Eco-Friendly
As one of the only few Eco-Friendly boutique guest houses in Cape Town with a Fair Trade Tourism certification, we showcase a wide array of sustainable features that aims to amplify guests experiences which are illustrated below:
Energy
When entering Point B guests are greeted with our fully sustainable energy solar system and energy saving lights (LED) to light up the surroundings which requires far less energy reducing the demand from utility plants thus decreasing greenhouse gas emissions. This and other sustainable features embodies are commitment to the environment.
Water
Point B’s main water source is from a borehole to maintain the property surroundings which reduces the usage of the city water system generating less pollution and reducing energy usage.
Recycling
Point B sorts all its waste on site to be sent out for recycling weekly. Also, we use some organic waste as compost for our garden.
Social projects
Point B understands how important our communities are, as we are all connected in some way or another. Hope & Light a non-profit orphanage is one of those connection points. Established in 2003 has over twenty-five disadvantage kids from various backgrounds. To make life a little less complicated, Point B purchased new uniforms and other clothing for the kids as we know how important it is to feel good about yourself. In addition, during the holidays we purchased gifts so that they would not feel disconnected and know that they are loved. There will be more activities taking place during the upcoming months. The Best!
I stayed for 3 nights with Karen Meyer’s group in mid-July. We had such a wonderful experience that far exceeded anything we had imagined! The location was ideal for us. The staff is accommodating and willing. The breakfast was outstanding and the room was spacious and comfortable. The dining and lounge area was tastefully furnished

Recommended Comfortable rooms, great service, and an outstanding breakfast... The manager, Chimnese is constantly available to attend to any needs. A well-located B&B within easy walking distance of the V&A Waterfront. Although we arrived by taxi (and by motorcycle on another occasion) and were not affected by it, the parking is limited.
