Tour Day #1

Wildlife on Safari in the Okavango Delta, Botswana

Upon arrival in Johannesburg you will drive across the border into Botswana and catch a light-aircraft flight into the heart of the Okavango Delta. Arriving in the Khwai Concession, you will set out on a scenic drive exploring the beautiful country natural wonders. This lush premier wildlife area will provide an awesome viewing of natural habitat that is situated on the fertile northeast of the Delta. With your first Okavango wildlife encounters under your belt, you will return to camp for a scrumptious dinner and drinks around the campfire. Your mobile tented camp is light on impact and high in comfort. Large individual canvas tents have two twin beds, comfortable mattresses, a connected private open air bathroom and covered veranda. You overnight at the private campsite in the Khwai Concession (or similar). All meals included. Safari Game Drive: 4 hours; Transfer: 2 hours; Flight: 1 hour.

Moremi Safari Game Reserve

Enjoy a full day of game viewing around the concession. A morning and afternoon game drives give you the chance to spot big game such as elephant, lion and giraffe, while bush walks with an expert guide allow you to see and learn more about the smaller creatures that can be found here, from reptiles to insects and birds. Night drives provide an opportunity to see and hear nocturnal species such as honey badgers, bush babies and even leopard.

Moremi Wildlife Safari

Spend another day on a safari in Vurumba. It’s greatly recommended to take a boat safari or mokoro trip on the water, where you may spot crocodiles, hippo and a variety of birds, including bright little bee-eaters, crakes and pygmy geese. Floating along the water and through the reeds is unbelievably peaceful and your guide will help point out the various wildlife. (At you own account) you may also wish to go on another game drive to tick off any species you’ve yet to see – wild dog, cheetah and African wildcat are all found here.

Tour Day #4

Welcome to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Evening Zambezi River cruise at sunset

Today, you’ll be driven back to Vurumba Airstrip for your flight to Victoria Falls Airport. Upon arrival, your private driver will escort you to your accommodation at the Zambezi Boutique Guest House in Victoria Falls. The braided channels of the Zambezi River above the Falls offer excellent opportunities for birdwatching and spotting elephants by boat. It’s also a magical place to witness your first African sunset. We’ll return to the lodge for a traditional Boma dinner.

Victoria Falls

Today you will visit the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Gazing out over the vast of water, you can hear its roar and feel the spray as it crashes into the crevasse. The falls are part of the Mosi O Tunya National Park, which also offers opportunities for viewing wildlife such as giraffe, zebra and impala on game drives. You may also wish to explore nearby villages to learn about the local culture, or pay a visit to Livingstone museum.

Tour Day #6

Enjoy another day at Victoria Falls to capture more of the remarkable surroundings. (At you own account) you could take a guided canoe trip along the river, indulge in fishing or browse a local craft market for some unique souvenirs. Optional (at your own account) a helicopter or microlight flight over the falls is a different way to experience this natural spectacle, and an impressive way to end your trip, as you can get a real sense of scale from the air.

Welcome to Kruger National Park private game reserve

A direct flight this morning takes us to a remarkable private wildlife reserve bordering South Africa’s treasured Kruger National Park. After unpacking at Kapama Game Reserve we set out on an afternoon game drive today in hopes of seeing rhino and other “Big Five” wildlife. After sipping a delightful sundowner, we return to our well-appointed safari lodge for a delicious dinner. Overnight at Kapama Game Reserve. All meals included. Safari Game Drive: 3–4 hours.

Safari in Kapama Game Reserve

Under the masterful guidance of our safari guide, we get out early, to see if we can locate some of the amazing big five rhinos, elephants, lions, leopards, as well as a myriad of other creatures. As the sun rises, we focus our attention on the vast diversity of plants, insects and small creatures that serve a vital function in the ecosystem. Concluding with a tasty brunch, we have some down time in the afternoon for some siesta before going out on another game drive this evening. We overnight at Kapama Game Reserve. All meals included. Safari Game Drive: 3–4 hours.

Welcome to Magnificent Cape Town

We will leave Kruger heading by road back to Johannesburg. From here, a direct flight takes us to the southern tip of the continent and the marvelous city of Cape Town. Wrapped in an amphitheater of mountains at the confluence of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, Cape Town is beautiful, historic and absolutely fun. Point B boutique guesthouse is your home for the next four nights is quintessential Cape Town in character and close to hip restaurants internationally recognized for their culinary creativity. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the city. You could take a stroll along the V&A Waterfront, which is lined with trendy shops, cafes and restaurants. Also, while at the Waterfront, you can take in the Zeitz MOCAA museum. To complete your day enjoy a delightful visit to the peaceful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, where you can see a wide variety of local floras. All Breakfast included.

Walk on the top of Table Mountain and taste zesty Cape Malay cuisine

The next morning, we set out for stunning views atop Table Mountain. A cable car from the base of the mountain whisks us up past Cape “fynbos” (a unique flora found only on the southern tip of Africa) to the flattop summit. Here we enjoy a leisurely walk, taking in the sweeping views of nearby landmarks. Returning to the base, we head for our next stop, the colorful Malay quarter of Bo Kaap. Once a former township, this area offers a unique view into South Africa’s challenging past while inviting visitors to its flavorful and storied cuisine. Welcomed into a local home, we sample the spicy aromatic flavors of curries and samosas which have cemented Cape Malay cooking as one of the quintessential South African emblems. After a short walk, we return to our relaxing Cape contemporary abode to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure. Breakfast and lunch included. Note: Weather on Table Mountain is notoriously unpredictable and the guides may adjust the itinerary for this reason. Walking: 3–4 hours.

Taste our way through the Cape Winelands

The Cape Winelands’ majestic mountain scenery, rolling vineyards and historic Cape Dutch architecture make for one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world. Our loop ride begins this morning in the lovely village of Franschhoek, founded by the French Huguenots in 1688 and nestled in a valley between towering mountains in the heart of the Winelands region. Returning to Cape Town, you are on your own for dinner tonight—an opportunity for you to choose from any of the excellent eateries located nearby. Breakfast and lunch included.

Fly to Johannesburg and bid farewell before departing for home

We have one final morning adventure to the townships before packing up and catching our flight to Johannesburg, where our adventure concludes. Arrive in Johannesburg by mid-afternoon in time to catch evening international departures. Breakfast included.

Southern Africa is not only home to one of the world’s greatest safari destinations, it’s also full of iconic landscapes and destinations such as Table Mountain, Cape Point and Victoria Falls. Explore the area’s diverse surroundings and lofty mountains and lush grasslands. This excursion is truly the adventure of a life-time, a continuation of some of the most extraordinary sections in Southern Africa. The journey begins while enjoying the first of many African sunsets on a safari in Botswana and traveling to heart of the Okavango Delta, Southern Africa’s most pristine safari ecosystem, where we go in search of wildlife, letting camera lenses capture each encounter of the big 5 such as leopards and lions and more. Later, we travel for a remarkable sunset cruise along the Zambezi river at the mighty Victoria Falls. Finally, we travel to the most southern tip of Africa to the magnificent Cape Town, where you will travel to Cape Point and to the winelands to taste some of the most stunning wines in the world.
